We're hiring!

We’re looking for a social media person to help us curate our social spaces and keep on top of things more generally!

  • 8 hours per week (One full day, can be spread out throughout the week)

  • £15 per hour

  • Remote, but some event attendance would be a bonus

  • Would suit someone already working part time who wants a side hustle

The Job

Instagram:

  • Working with us to plan and create Insta posts & stories

  • Creating and editing reels

  • Replying to messages and comments

  • Reposting stories

TikTok

  • Helping to build Cipher’s presence on TikTok

  • Proposing content

  • Creating and editing videos

The Person

  • Experience running social media accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky

  • Into books, especially small press and queer/trans literature

  • Experience making and editing reels

  • Experience with Canva/InDesign and creating social graphics

  • Socially and culturally aware

  • An understanding of analytics

  • An understanding of Cipher’s mission and vibe as a queer and trans publisher

  • Global majority and working-class people to the front!
